Is converting mono to stereo worth it?
Not really. It just copies the same sound to both sides, so it sounds exactly like mono with no real stereo width. Only do it if a device or platform insists on two channels.
Is my file uploaded to your server?
No. Channel processing runs in your browser; the file never leaves your device.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Free, no account, no usage limits, and no watermark on the export.
Will the mono file be smaller?
As WAV it is half the size. As MP3 the size mostly depends on the bitrate, so mono at the same bitrate is about the same size — but you can safely pick a lower bitrate.
My recording only plays in one ear — can this fix it?
Yes. Keep the side that has the sound (left or right only), then merge to mono so both ears hear it.
