What TutuAudio does
TutuAudio is an audio editor that runs in your browser: cutting, noise reduction, loudness, speed and pitch, effects, recording and conversion all happen on your device — nothing is uploaded and no account is needed.
The two AI features — transcribing a recording (then deleting words to delete audio) and editing with a single sentence — need no login and include a daily free allowance; transcription uploads audio to the cloud for recognition. TutuAudio only processes existing sound and does not do text-to-speech.

What the AI can do
Delete words, delete audio
After transcription, strike out “um” and “uh” — the matching audio is removed and the rest joins up.
One-sentence editing
Tell the assistant “shorten every pause to 0.5 seconds and delete every um and uh”; it edits the timeline and transcript directly — cuts, volume, fades, speed, EQ — previewed before it applies, each step undoable.
Even loudness
Clips at different volumes are measured in LUFS (BS.1770) and brought to the same loudness in one click.

Center-channel cancellation splits vocals from the backing (stereo songs with centered vocals; not AI stem separation).

FAQ
- Does it cost anything? Do I need an account?
- It’s free and needs no account. Editing and effects have no limits or watermark; AI transcription and AI editing need no login and include a daily free allowance.
- Is my audio uploaded?
- Editing and effects stay in your browser. Only three things upload: AI transcription, cloud saving after login, and exporting to TutuDrive.
- Does it work on phones?
- Yes. The same features run in mobile browsers — pick a file or record directly; swipe to scroll the timeline, long-press a clip to pick it up and drag, pinch to zoom, and turn on “Select” to tap clips for batch edits.
- How long can a file be?
- There is no artificial limit; it depends on device memory. If memory runs short it switches to a low-memory mode (16 kHz mono) automatically.
- Which formats are supported?
- It reads MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OGG, WebM and the audio in MP4 videos; it exports MP3 and WAV, plus M4A, OGG and FLAC in browsers that support them.
- Is transcription accurate? Do I need to log in?
- No login needed. Clear speech is transcribed accurately; heavy accents and people talking over each other are harder. You can edit audio by deleting words right after.
- Will the AI mess up my audio?
- Edits are shown as a preview and applied only after you confirm, and every step can be undone.
- How is it different from Audacity?
- No install, works on phones, and you can edit audio by editing text; but there are no VST plugins or spectral editing.
- Will I lose work if I close the page?
- The editor saves drafts on your device automatically; a refresh or reopen brings back the same project, and a recording cut off by closing the page or a crash can be recovered next time. After login they are also saved to the cloud.
- Can it do text-to-speech or AI voice-over?
- No. TutuAudio processes existing sound only; use TutuSound for text-to-speech and voice-over.
